THE LAST OF THE SEA GYPSIES
Running Time: 52'
/ Format: HD
/ Available versions: FR I EN
This documentary follows two Sea Gypsy families who still live as nomads on the waters of Southeast Asia. For centuries, the Sama‑Bajau and Moken have been born, lived and died at sea, guided by spiritual beliefs and the rhythms of fishing. Today, only a few families remain on houseboats as industrial fishing encroaches on their waters. Filmed as a silent observer, the documentary captures their daily rituals and spiritual world in the most natural, authentic way.
