In Île-Saint-Denis, on the outskirts of Paris, on a polluted plot of land along the Seine, an organization is taking on a double challenge: reviving the local flower industry—grown without pesticides and sold through short supply chains—while also training job seekers for future-oriented careers.

But nothing goes as planned: restoring the now-sterile soil proves to be complex, and the global pandemic disrupts the teams’ work.

Yet, over the months, a double transformation begins to take place: the land comes back to life, and little by little, after often difficult pasts, the people cultivating it begin to rebuild themselves. And what if, for once, a union of social and ecological solutions could truly succeed?
