In 1878, the body of a great Viking warrior was found in Birka, Sweden. For many years nobody has been concerned about the discovery.
But in 2017 a team of Swedish archaeologists and scientists have come to an astonishing conclusion. An analysis of the DNA showed that the great warrior was not a man but actually a woman. Ever since, a multitude of counter-hypotheses has been made from other experts. Were the analysis duly made and are the results correct? Did the scientists study the right bones? What if there had been two skeletons in the grave?
This documentary film allows us to relive the exciting investigation around the truth behind the only female Viking warrior known to date.
