You know Inspector Gadget, but do you know Jean Chalopin, his creator?

The visionary behind Inspector Gadget, Ulysses 31, and The Mysterious Cities of Gold, forever shaped the childhood of millions. A poet, entrepreneur, and larger-than-life dreamer, Chalopin lived as fantastically as the worlds he imagined. He bought a château and transformed it into his own private fantasy kingdom, set out to challenge Disney with the wildly ambitious theme park, Planète Magique, all while constantly reinventing himself, moving from one audacious venture to the next, including banking and cryptocurrency. A wild rollercoaster ride through modern pop culture and international business, Chalopin’s life is marked by global successes, spectacular failures, and visionary ideas often years ahead of their time. Now, for the first time, this documentary series tells the extraordinary story of an endlessly inventive adventurer and his multiple lives.
